Consider the motive…
Mostly the idea…, that we still have a little time off, like when a teenager knows they still have a lot of freedom and time to mess around, before the corporate style work schedule gets a grip on them.
I think most of us believed there might be a way to “not get quite so stressed”, or so forced into THAT particular peer group’s very limited “little disease”, that would have to be called “schedule induced aggression”, that has very few escape options, after a person is in it.
The motivation, I think, was to get close…, to that corporate “black hole”, that ate emotion and compassion like stray drifting light waves….but then not get sucked into it, too far.
I don’t think too many people get the idea that the costumes, cars, and buildings, the consumer goodies, and stuff, tends to take you on a ride, and then dumps you off in the middle of nowhere, when they don’t need you around any more.
